Kevin Olson is Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Jupiter Medical Center (JMC) in South Florida. During Kevin’s tenure at JMC, he has led the digital transformation, modernizing infrastructure, applications, automation while maturing a cyber program. Prior to joining JMC, he served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Oklahoma University (OU) Health, the state’s most comprehensive academic health system. While there he led an IT strategic alignment with a significant focus on technology and application modernization aligning with the needs of patients and providers across the state.
Kevin’s experience spans over 20 years, serving as, Vice President, and Chief Information Officer at SSM Health of Oklahoma the world’s first Malcom Baldridge award healthcare recipient. Of his numerous accomplishments while there, was the extension of the electronic health record to independent affiliated hospitals and clinics across the state and leading IT through several acquisitions and mergers while standardizing the digital experience for patients and providers.
In addition to Olson’s Health Care IT experience, he has 25 years serving in the military in both active duty and reserve capacities. His military experience is broad, ranging from active-duty flyer, cyber security officer and health care administrator.
Mr. Olson received a Master of Health Administration from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a bachelor’s degree from Park University. He is an active member in several professional organizations including the College of Health Information Management Executives and the Health Information Management Systems Society. Kevin is a certified health care CIO (CHCIO) and holds a certification in information security management (CISM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) through Harvard Medical School.
